The Administrator of the Ghana Sports Fund, Dr. David Kofi Wuaku, says the upcoming meeting between Ghana and The Gambia presents an important opportunity for Ghanaians to put aside their differences and unite behind the Black Stars.
Dr. Wuaku noted that Ghanaians may disagree on several issues, including politics, everyday matters and even the never-ending debate over which country makes the best jollof.
However, he believes football has the power to bring people together, particularly when the national team is representing the country.
He explained that once the Black Stars step onto the pitch, personal and political differences should give way to a common sense of national pride and support for Ghana.
According to him, the match should therefore be viewed not only as a football contest but also as an opportunity for Ghanaians to demonstrate unity and patriotism.
He has encouraged supporters to rally behind the national team and create a positive atmosphere as Ghana prepares to face The Gambia.
For Fresh Oil Radio, this is a reminder that football can be more than just 90 minutes—it can also be a moment that brings a nation together.
