The Ministry of Finance says it has fully paid all 6,300 Ghana Education Service staff recruited in 2024 without prior financial clearance.
According to the Ministry, there are currently no outstanding financial clearance requests from the Ghana Education Service awaiting approval.
The development is expected to bring relief to the affected teachers and other GES personnel who had faced uncertainty over their salaries following their recruitment.
The Ministry of Finance says the payment of the 6,300 staff means the financial obligations associated with the affected recruitment have been addressed.
It has also indicated that the GES has no pending financial clearance request before the Ministry at this time.
